Center Arts and Studios – founded by artist David Cloutier (he/him) – is an emerging atelier and intentional creative community that provides studio space, education, mentorship, and therapy to aging, transitioning, and multi-career artists. Our work affirms the agency of the artist and the objects of their making across and because of lived experience. We believe in the power of art to speak and the responsibility of the artist to listen, learn, and grow. We aim to support artists in their personal and professional growth no matter where or when their journey begins. By late-career artists and educators for older-adults, additional contributors to Center Arts and Studios support the multifaceted stages of artistic growth and development through rigorous research and personalized professional development.

Located in the Mill Center, Center Arts and Studios is embedded in the Hampden neighbourhood and part of the historic Jones Falls River Valley of Baltimore City, Maryland.
